About Lob Wars

Lob Wars is a turn-based artillery game on a crazy hilly pitch. Two teams stand by their goal-forts on opposite hills and take turns to lob balls at each other. Every shot blows a crater of turf out of the pitch, so the hills and your cover change all match long.

Read the wind flag, pick the right ball and set angle and power with one drag. Beat 15 rival teams in the career, with HARD and SUPER HARD boss forts every few matches, or play Pass & Play against a friend on one device.

How to play

  1. Drag back from anywhere on the pitch to aim. The arrow shows angle and power; let go to kick.
  2. Watch the wind flag at the top. Wind changes every turn and pushes your ball left or right.
  3. Pick a ball from the tray: Standard, Triple split, Bouncer, Mud Bomb, Laser Drive or Heavy. Specials are limited each match.
  4. Hold the arrow buttons to walk a few steps for a better angle. Tap the frame button to see the whole pitch.
  5. Knock the rival goal-fort's health to zero before they knock down yours.

Frequently asked questions

Is Lob Wars free?

Yes. Every match can be won without spending coins. Coins are optional.

How does the wind work?

The flag at the top shows the wind for this turn. The stronger the wind, the more it pushes your ball sideways. Heavy balls are pushed less and the Laser Drive ignores it.

What do the special balls do?

Triple splits into three at the top of its flight, Bouncer bounces up to three times, Mud Bomb blasts a huge crater, Laser Drive flies almost straight and drills through hills, and Heavy hits hardest but needs more power.

What are HARD and SUPER HARD matches?

Every 5th match is a HARD boss with a stronger fort and better aim, every 10th is SUPER HARD. They pay 2x and 3x cash, and the next match is an easier one.

Can I play with a friend?

Yes. Pass & Play lets two players take turns on the same phone, tablet or computer.
