About Word Kick

Word Kick is a daily football word puzzle played on an old stadium scoreboard. Everyone gets the same five-letter word each day, and every guess is a shot at goal: crack the word and the ball hits the back of the net.

Finished today's word? Try the six-letter Extra Time puzzle, or climb the Practice ladder for cash, with HARD and SUPER HARD matches every few levels.

How to play

  1. Type a five-letter word and press Enter to take a shot.
  2. Green letters are in the right spot, yellow letters are in the word but in the wrong spot, grey letters are not in the word.
  3. Use the clues to crack the word in six tries or fewer.
  4. Come back every day for a new word and keep your streak going.
  5. Play Practice matches to earn cash for new scoreboards and upgrades.

Frequently asked questions

Is everyone's daily word the same?

Yes. Everyone gets the same five-letter word and the same six-letter Extra Time word each day. A new word arrives at midnight.

What is hard mode?

In hard mode every green letter must stay in place and every yellow letter must be used in your next guesses. It pays 25% more cash in Practice.

What happens if I miss a day?

Your daily streak resets, unless you own a streak freeze. Each freeze covers one missed day.

How do I share my result?

After a word, tap Copy result grid to copy a spoiler-free grid of squares, or Challenge a friend to share a picture card.

Is it free?

Yes. Coins are optional and every word can be solved without them.
