Pitch Chase is a classic maze-chase arcade game set on a football training ground. The maze is built from hedges, advertising boards and goal frames, the stands are packed, and every corridor is full of footballs waiting to be collected.
Four referees are after you and each one hunts differently: Big Stan chases you straight, Sneaky Sid runs to where you are heading, Flanker Fran closes the other side and Wandering Walt goes wherever he likes. Grab one of the golden whistles and the tables turn: for a few seconds the referees panic and you can catch them for huge points.
How to play
- Swipe (or use the arrow keys) to run. Your turn is saved and happens at the next junction.
- Collect every ball in the maze to clear it. Bonus trophies and golden boots appear for extra points.
- Don't touch a referee: one touch is a red card and costs a life. You have three lives.
- Grab a golden whistle and the referees run away. Catch them one after another for 200, 400, 800 and 1600 points.
- Use the tunnels with the goals on the sides to escape. HARD mazes pay double and SUPER HARD mazes pay triple.
Frequently asked questions
Is Pitch Chase free?
Yes. Every maze can be cleared without spending coins. Coins are optional.
How do the referees behave?
Each referee has his own plan. One chases you directly, one aims ahead of you, one tries to trap you from the other side and one wanders. Every so often they all break off and head for their corners for a few seconds.
How long does the golden whistle last?
Around eight seconds in the training maze and less in later and harder mazes. The Whistle upgrade, the Long Whistle booster and a three-win streak make it last longer. The bar at the top shows the time left and flashes when it is about to end.
What is the win streak?
Clear mazes in a row to unlock free perks for the next maze: speed boots after one win, a shield that saves you from one referee after two, and longer whistles after three. Losing a maze resets the streak.
How do I get three stars?
Clear the maze, don't lose a life, and catch at least as many referees as there are in the maze.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. It plays in portrait and landscape. The close camera follows your player so the characters stay big, and you can switch to the full maze view at any time.
