About Cross the Pitch

Cross the Pitch is an endless lane-hopping arcade game set on a chaotic football training ground. Tap to hop forward, swipe to sidestep, and try to get as far as you can without being flattened by a team bus, tackled by a sprinting squad or mowed down by the groundsman.

Every lane is different: running lanes full of players doing sprint drills, roads with team buses and golf carts, lawnmower strips, sprinkler rivers you cross by jumping on floating ball bags, and rails where the Ball Express train thunders past. Stand still too long and the groundsman's net scoops you up.

How to play

  1. Tap anywhere (or press Up) to hop forward one row.
  2. Swipe left or right, or use the arrow buttons, to sidestep. Swipe down to hop back.
  3. Time your hops between buses, runners and mowers. Red rush lanes are extra fast.
  4. Cross water by landing on the floating ball bags, and wait when the rail signal flashes red.
  5. Keep moving forward or the groundsman's net catches you. Grab cash notes on the grass.

Is Cross the Pitch free?

Yes. Every run is free to play and coins are optional.

What is a head start?

At the start of a run you can launch your footballer up to 100 rows ahead. The first one is free, after that it costs 15 coins.

Why did a net grab me?

If you stand still or fall too far behind, the groundsman's net swoops in. Keep hopping forward.

What is the hot streak?

Every run in a row that reaches row 30 adds 10% bonus cash to your next run, up to 50%.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. It plays in portrait and landscape with taps and swipes, and with the keyboard on desktop.
