About Sink the Squad

Sink the Squad is a hidden-grid strategy game played on two football pitches. You hide five groups of players in lines on your 10x10 pitch: a Back Five, a Midfield Four, a Front Three, a Wing Trio and a Striker Pair. Then you call squares on the rival pitch to tackle their hidden players.

Every tackle lets you shoot again, a miss hands the turn to the rival. Climb a ladder of levels against rookies, hunters and tacticians, beat HARD and SUPER HARD bosses that read the pitch like a map, or play Pass & Play with a friend on one phone.

How to play

Drag your groups to move them and tap a group to turn it. Shuffle places them for you. Press Kick Off when ready.
Tap a square on the rival pitch. A tackle knocks a hidden player down and you shoot again; a miss passes the turn.
Tackle every player in a group to sink it. Hits come in straight lines, so follow them.
Use Scout to reveal an area and Long Ball to hit five squares in a line.
Sink all five rival groups before they find yours to win the level.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sink the Squad free?

Yes. Every level can be won without spending coins. Coins are optional.

Why do I shoot again after a hit?

A tackle keeps possession, so you keep calling squares until you miss. The rival plays by the same rule.

What are HARD and SUPER HARD levels?

Every 5th level is a HARD boss that pays double cash and every 10th is a SUPER HARD boss with a Scout that pays triple. The level after a boss is easier.

Can I play with a friend?

Yes. Pass & Play lets two players hide their squads and take turns on one device, with a screen that hides your pitch between turns.

What is a win streak?

Each win in a row adds 15% more cash to your next win, up to +75%. Losing resets it unless you use a rematch that keeps it.
